CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Hundreds of Charlotte teens learned how to stop teen dating violence Saturday.

The Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage hosted the Teens for Courage summit at Carowinds, where more than 250 students showed up.

They discussed relationship red flag warning signs and what a healthy relationship looks like. The students also learned what resources are available for their peers experiencing domestic violence.

"They are our future, and we want to make sure that they are aware, educated and that they become ambassadors for stopping dating violence before it begins," said Ron Kimble, co-founder of Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage.

February is teen dating violence awareness month.
