JKFFC Announces It's Dissolution

August 2026

August 24th, 2026

Dear Partners, Friends, Donors,

We sharing important news regarding the future of the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage. After much prayer, reflection, and careful consideration, our Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to dissolve the organization, effective September 1, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. The decision follows careful strategic evaluation by the board regarding the long-term sustainability of its programs.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible support over the years. Because of your generosity, time, and dedication, we were able to open 32 High School Courage Clubs across North Carolina, South Carolina, Hartford Connecticut and Lagos Nigeria. We also established two Voices for Courage college chapters and we partnered with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and various community organizations to provide parenting programs, workshops and educational resources that were designed to strengthen families and help prevent youth violence.

Your belief in our mission made a lasting impact on our community, and we are incredibly proud of what we accomplished together.

As we wind down our operations, we are committed to handling our remaining assets responsibly and legally. In accordance with nonprofit regulations, any remaining funds and resources will be transferred to a 501(c)(3) organization that shares our commitment to stop interpersonal violence before it begins.

If you have recurring monthly donations set up through our website, these will be automatically canceled on August 31, 2026

Thank you again for being a vital part of our journey. If you have any questions during this transition period, please feel free to reach out to Willie Ratchford at wprconsult@bellsouth.net or (704) 589-4896.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Nina Jackson, Serena Cockrell and Willie Ratchford
